Date XXX first became qualified to practice in this occupation
If the “primary occupation” is:
a qualified trade (four-digit code begins with 632, 633, 72, 73, 82, 92), this is the date they became qualified to practice on their own in Canada.
(For example, when they moved from apprentice to being a licensed tradesperson.)
any other job, this is the date they first obtained the minimum education or training stated in the NOC description. (Note: if the NOC only states
high school, this is the date they graduated.)
For example NOC 3111 – Specialist Physicians has a minimum requirement of “Graduation from an approved medical school and specific specialty training are required.” You obviously can’t claim you worked as a physician if you don’t have a medical degree.
NOC 0111 – Financial Managers “A bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, commerce or a related field is required “, that’s obviously way more flexible of an requirement
NOC 0631 – Restaurant and food service managers “Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is usually required.”, that doesn’t require much related to the job.
Check the NOC database, you must have at least the minimum required education for your NOC. In your case I’m quite confident that a Masters in Commerce will be enough for a job in Administration. https://noc.esdc.gc.ca/Home/Welcome/c3ee16fa57644ecca2ae15b3e5c01868?GoCTemplateCulture=en-CA
