Birth certificates – Translation | Canada Immigration Forum

Hi, for inland spouse sponsorship, the checklist requires a photocopy of the prinicpal applicant’s birth certificate. If it is not in either english or french, I am aware that it must be translated however:

1) Do I submit the orignal translated document, translated and signed by the translator or is a photocopy of that sufficient?
2) Can I still submit a photocopy of the original birth certificate in the foreign language or does it have to be a certified copy?

The instructions on the website are unclear to me. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks!
